The Narwhals Named to TIME'S Best Inventions of 2025
TIME revealed its 2025 list of the Best Inventions, which features 300 extraordinary innovations changing our lives - including the Apex Cool Labs Narwhals!
To compile this year's list, TIME solicited nominations from TIME editors and correspondents around the world, and through an online application process. TIME then evaluated each contender on a number of key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact. The Narwhals were selected for their innovation in enhancing athletic performance and recovery.
We are extraordinarily thrilled to see the Narwhals receive such recognition. What started as a passion project, with Apex Cool Labs cofounder and inventor of the Narwhals, Ariel Paul, tinkering in his basement gym has turned into a high performance athletic recovery device used by athletes in the WNBA, NBA, PWHL, NHL, NFL, MLS, MLB, D1 programs, our military, fire service, and workers across industries.
It is an honor to be named alongside some of the biggest names in sport performance.
